As a nation, we are making ourselves sick with food. When you enter a typical supermarket today, up to 90% of the food on the shelves is processed and by many standards doesn’t even qualify as food. Living foods can be heated up to temperatures ranging from 105-114 degrees, depending upon who you ask. They can be stored, refrigerated, or frozen. But they are not processed. The ingredients are not created in a lab. And they are always real food.
So what is the big deal? What does it matter?
It matters because what we put in our bodies is who we are. What we feed ourselves determines to a very large degree our health, our sickness, our energy, our clarity, our balance and even our moods. Food affects every aspect of our lives. We cannot live without it but we aren’t careful we won’t be able to live with it either.
If food, then, is so important then it is vitally important we choose our foods carefully. Raw foods are full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes and energy. Raw foods give our body what it needs to survive and thrive. Raw foods provide us with nutrients as nature intended.
To incorporate more living foods in your diet start by adding one or two more servings of fruit and vegetables a day. Have carrots with hummus, an apple with nut butter, a small salad with lunch or blended smoothie with fruits and veggies. Don’t worry about taking food out.
